Privacy Policy
Effective 12 September 2026
Azraël Options (“we”, “us”) operates azraeloptions.com, a site that publishes educational derivatives modeling for SPX and 0DTE index options and sells two digital products: a lifetime seat in a private Discord desk, and a downloadable Excel workstation with an execution manual. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to get it removed. We have tried to write it plainly.
1. What we collect
Newsletter readers
When you enter your email in the form on the home page, we collect that email address and the time you submitted it. We do not ask for a name, phone number or anything else.
Buyers
When you purchase a product, Stripe collects your payment card details, billing name, email address and country. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe passes us your email address, the product you bought, the amount paid, and a session identifier. We store those to deliver your files, send your access email, honor the $27 upgrade credit, and keep accounting records.
Discord members
Inside the Discord desk, Discord Inc. handles your account, messages and presence under its own privacy policy. We see your Discord username and anything you choose to post in the server.
Automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp) for security and debugging. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
Separately, the page itself records an anonymous usage log in our own database: which page was viewed, how far it was scrolled, which sections and buttons were reached, whether the newsletter form or checkout was used, the referring site, any utm_ campaign tags in the link you arrived from, and a screen-size class (phone, tablet, desktop). This log stores no IP address, no browser fingerprint, no name and no email. A random identifier kept in your browser's session storage links events within a single visit and is discarded when the tab closes. We use this to see which parts of the page are read and where readers drop off.
2. What we do not do
- We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels, and Google Analytics does not set cookies or identifiers unless you accept it in the cookie banner.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your email address or purchase history to anyone.
- We do not collect brokerage account data, positions, or trade history. The Excel workstation runs entirely on your machine.
3. Why we process your data
For newsletter readers, the legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any issue. For buyers, the basis is performance of a contract (delivering what you bought) and our legitimate interest in keeping accurate financial records and preventing fraud.
4. Who we share data with
Only the processors needed to run the site, each bound by their own privacy terms:
- Beehiiv (newsletter delivery). Your email address is stored in our Beehiiv publication and used to send the daily premarket brief and the weekend issues.
- Stripe (payments). Handles checkout, card processing, receipts and fraud screening. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages.
- Discord (community hosting) for desk members.
- Google Analytics (audience measurement). The Google tag is present on every page in Google's consent mode, which starts as denied: until you click “Accept” in the cookie banner it sets no cookies and stores no identifier, and only aggregate, cookieless counts reach Google. After you accept, Google sets its own cookies and processes the data under its own terms. If you refuse, it stays in the cookieless mode.
- Abacus.AI (hosting, database and transactional email). Our purchase log and seat counter live in a database hosted there, and fulfillment emails are sent through its email service.
We will also disclose data if a court or regulator lawfully requires it.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site sets no tracking cookies of its own. When you make a choice in the cookie banner, we store that choice in your browser's local storage so the banner does not reappear. The anonymous usage log described above uses session storage only, not cookies, and is cleared when the tab closes. Choosing “Accept” lets Google Analytics set the _ga cookies; choosing “Refuse non-essential” keeps Google Analytics in its cookieless mode. You can change your mind by clearing the site data in your browser, which brings the banner back. Stripe's hosted checkout sets its own functional and fraud-prevention cookies when you open it.
6. Retention
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records: seven years, to meet tax and accounting obligations, then deleted.
- Server logs: typically 30 days or less.
- Anonymous usage log: 24 months, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to the accounting retention above), or object to how we use it. If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland you have these rights under GDPR and equivalent laws, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California you have equivalent rights under the CCPA, and we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined there.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address in question. We respond within 30 days.
8. International transfers
Our processors operate in the United States. Where data moves out of the EU or UK, it is protected by the processors' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Security
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 provider. Our own database is access-controlled and encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you without undue delay.
10. Children
The site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and options trading content is not directed at minors.
11. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will note the new effective date here and mention it in the newsletter. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
